This time on The Forty Ounce: Hate! Glorious hate! Let the hate flow through you!

Me and Daniel decided it might be fun to do an episode where we exclusively discuss songs we hate. Daniel pointed out that the podcast usually dissolves into a hate-fest anyway, so we decided to just skip straight to the good stuff.

This is our longest podcast yet, which is… problematic. We’re really working on fixing that. In the meantime, can I suggest at least listening to the first ten or so minutes? I think my ability to speak clearly into the mic is improving, and me and Daniel have some fun banter before things descend into an orgy of rage.

day 02: your least favorite song

again, this is a tough one. i have pretty low standards when it comes to music, and most of the songs i’ve ever hated got that way from overexposure.

but this song. i cannot fully explain where my hatred for this song comes from, i just hate it. i think it’s the lamest fucking song ever. just now, when i found out that the group behind this song (‘peaches & herb’, what the fuck) were black, i was surprised. because “bumping booties, having us a ball” is the whitest lyric ever written in any song ever, even including songs written by Rivers Cuomo.
