i want to say that i belong to a generation that, when they think of the song “what’s love”, the first thing that comes to mind is this song, not the song by tina turna… but i think that’s probably just me.
okay i know no one cares about leakwatch but i keep logging on to [TOTALLY LEGAL MUSIC DOWNLOADING SITE] and seeing ‘dark twisted fantasy’ but it’s always fake and it’s removed in minutes so i can’t [PAY MONEY TO DOWNLOAD IT LEGALLY] anyway, and the album comes out in two and half weeks, and i really thought it would have [BEEN RELEASED LEGALL] by now, oh well
oh, man, this song. i don’t even know what to say. “tonally inconsistent” doesn’t even begin to describe. this is a song that continues rick ross’s proud tradition of naming songs after cars, and then rapping about those cars in the verses. it’s got a nice hook from some female singer i’ve never heard of, and that’s fine, but inside of this perfectly standard rick ross song, there is a whole other song, and wouldn’t you know it, it’s a drake song. seriously, this song has two choruses: one about cars, and one about being famous and being sad about it—you know, stuff drake sings about. and then it ends with a verse by drake that is twice as long as rick ross’s entire contribution to what is, in theory, his own track. there’s an edited version that cuts the last two minutes, but this is the version i heard on the radio, and it’s the version they made a music video for, and it is just bizarre.
